Yesterday afternoon we dyed eggs in preparation for Easter Sunday. Tom was simply not interested this year, so it ended up being just me and the girls. Emma had been up much of the night with a high temperature and really wasn't herself yesterday, but she awoke from a nap with enough energy to come and investigate what Lily and I were doing and was quite happy to help decorate the dyed eggs. Lily, lover of all creative activities, was with me from start to finish and loved every step. Our eggs get better and better each year as I tweak how we do it. The colours were pretty good this year.
