Emma gets a real kick out of standing up now. She can't pull herself up onto the furniture yet, but she is working really hard at it. She pulls herself onto her knees and then looks like she doesn't really know what happens next. She therefore requires other people to help her go that extra mile. As far as she is concerned, my main purpose in her life at the moment is to help her stand up. She will put her arms out like she wants a cuddle (and who can resist that!), but when you get to her she grabs hold of your forearms. With very little assistance she's on her feet looking very pleased with herself. Emma is a very determined little lady, so I daresay it won't be long before she'll be doing it by herself..
